places to play around colfax
- Klemgard County Park
Ten miles south of Colfax, this park caters to large group activities. Sandy volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, a multipurpose field for games, plus a number of hiking trails encourage recreational fun.
- Wawawai County Park
On the Snake River 16 miles south of Pullman, there are 9 campsites available on a first come, first served bases. Water is available, but no hook ups. Picnic tables and fire pits at each site and restrooms are available year round.
- Bill Chipman Trail
Eight miles of paved trail connects Pullman, Washington with Moscow, Idaho. Hike, bike, walk or skate this easily accessible trail for all ages and abilities. Open dawn to dusk year round.

Washington State University offers numerous opportunities for attending cultural events. Whether it is a concert, PAC 10 sports, or a special museum exhibit, something exciting is always brewing on campus. The area also offers performances by Pullman Civic Theatre and the Washington/Idaho Symphony. A five-plex cinema in Pullman brings Hollywood close to home.
