  Colfax School District offers K-12 education within two school buildings. The district serves approximately 700 students at Jennings Elementary School (K-8) and Colfax High School. Both schools hold high academic expectations, and include basic core curriculum as well as an honors sequence and the opportunity to participate in work-study or early college entrance at the high school level. Extracurricular opportunities exist to participate in athletic, academic, musical, vocational, and leadership programs. • Whitman County Library District
  The Whitman County Library system serves throughout Whitman County with 13 branches. The Colfax Branch is the headquarters for the district and offers wi-fi Internet service, as well as Internet access through their computer program. The district has an Interlibrary Loan program with WSU, U of I, Neill Public and Latah Free Libraries. The branch offers children’s programs and a 24-hour reference service.
